“Vines and grapes talk, and winemakers have to listen.” That’s my simple way of saying that I try to bring out the best in the fruit to make well balanced food beverages. In terms of techniques, I consider myself a traditionalist who embraces technology.

After marrying the daughter of a Professor of Enology at U.C. Davis, I started my wine career in Luceny, France in 1974. Since then, I’ve made wine at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Hans Kornell, Krug, August Sebastiani and Round Hill, which gave me an opportunity to work with some of California’s legendary wineries and also to work with vineyards ranging from the North Coast to Santa Maria on the Central Coast. We’re very excited about the quality of the 2007 vintage and we hope you enjoy drinking our wines as much as we enjoyed making them.
